Print the Future:

Rethinking street furniture

At BENKERT BÄNKE, we are rethinking street furniture – with state-of-the-art large-scale 3D printing technology and over 40 years of experience in the production of high-quality outdoor furniture. Our latest step towards the future: With ONTIGO, we present our first product series from 3D printing – modular, customised and sustainable. Manufactured using a large-format 3D printer, the result is beautifully designed, functional and sustainable furniture for indoor and outdoor use.

For planners who think big, we provide a powerful planning kit: A complete 3D toolset with all the data you need to integrate our street furniture directly into your projects. Whether as a DWG file or in STEP format – our kit is your key to efficient and flexible planning.

Your project. Your vision. Ourforms- ready for placement.

Extremely robust

Exceptionalsurface

Our large-format printed parts are made from 100% recycled plastic film from packaging waste, paired with glass fibre, which provides the necessary stability. These products are developed for the highest demands.

For indoors and exterior

What impresses outdoors with its durability and longevity also unfolds its full creative power indoors. Because good design knows no boundaries. The sculptural shapes, the exciting interplay of surfaces and the clear design make our 3D-printed furniture striking design objects that are not only functional but also atmospheric. A statement – inside and out.

Probably the longest printed bench in the world

Lightweight with strong effect

What at first glance looks like a sculptural installation is in fact a highly functional piece of furniture:

The modern successor to solid concrete elements – with decisive advantages: The benches are only a fraction of the weight, can be moved without a heavy-duty crane and therefore save time, resources and costs during assembly and logistics.

Flexible combination

Connected by powder-coated stainless steel elements, the 3D-printed modules can be flexibly combined – almost seamlessly. Planters, armrests or small tables can be easily integrated – for maximum design freedom with function.

Integrated drainage

An integrated drainage system in the seat surface drains rainwater in a controlled manner, prevents puddles and keeps the seat surfaces dry. The self-cleaning effect simply flushes away dirt particles.

ONTIGO 10 –
The new line of urban design

What looks like a sculptural installation at first glance is actually a highly functional piece of furniture: ONTIGO 10, the 3D-printed modular bench, is an invitation to rethink public space.
The more than 21 standard elements with planters, armrests or tables open up almost limitless possibilities.

Modular & expandable

Connecting elements made of powder-coated stainless steel ensure free combinability, subsequent expansion and enable virtually seamless transitions. There is also the option of attaching small tables or armrests to the connecting elements.

ONTIGO 10 is the modern successor to conventional concrete elements – with numerous advantages: Despite its size, the bench is lightweight yet extremely stable. This makes handling considerably easier and eliminates the need for time-consuming assembly processes. Assembly is faster and no heavy-duty crane is required – saving time, resources and costs.

The grooved, fiberglass-reinforced surface is resistant to scratches, dirt and vandalism – ideal for high-traffic areas.

Made from 100% recycled industrial films, reinforced with glass fiber and fully recyclable – for sustainable, resource-saving urban design.

ONTIGO 20 –
Planters with an architectural statement

ONTIGO 20 stands for sophisticated design, precisely manufactured using large-format 3D printing. The series comprises three versions – with one, two or three integrated plant inserts – each as an independent design element for public spaces.

Fascinating surface structure

The characteristic grooved surface gives each object a special depth and structure. Depending on the incidence of light, a subtle interplay of shadows and reflections is created, bringing the natural coloring of the material to life. At the same time, it is extremely resistant to scratches, dirt and vandalism – made for everyday urban life.

The stainless steel plant inserts blend seamlessly into the overall look – technically sophisticated, durable and easy to maintain. Combined with integrated benches from the series, they create a harmonious interplay of form, function and greenery. The round shapes create flowing transitions in the room – clear in their statement, flexible in their application.

Made from 100% recycled industrial films with glass fiber reinforcement – durable, recyclable and resource-saving. The plant inserts and benches are made of powder-coated stainless steel.

The combination of organically printed shapes with precisely manufactured stainless steel components creates the best of both worlds: maximum creative freedom in design and maximum functionality in execution.

ONTIGO 20 is for planners who think of greenery not as an add-on, but as part of the overall architectural concept.

Design freedom meets urban durability

3D printed

Form follows design

Design without limits

Unlike conventional casting processes, 3D printing does not require complex mold construction. Every curve, every shaft can be printed directly.

No design is too visionary.
The result is furniture with a sculptural character - urban design that tells stories.

COLOR WORLD

Three colors.
Three characters.

The printed elements are available in three color variants – anthracite, white and mixed grey. All color variants are grooved, matt, pleasant to the touch and easy to clean – ideal for long-lasting applications with a high-quality appearance.

More than 8500 standard colors are available for the stainless steel elements,
RAL Classic, RAL Design, NCS and Pantone.

Mixed grey
for outdoors

For outdoor areas, we always recommend the mixed grey color. Thanks to its iridescent shade, it creates a lively interplay of light and shade – while at the same time making it even more resistant to dirt and signs of wear. These properties make the surface particularly vandal-proof and durable – ideal for heavily frequented outdoor spaces.

Materials

The material we print from is 100% recycled industrial foils, reinforced with fiberglass for maximum stability. The printed elements are complemented by components made of powder-coated stainless steel.

Robust. Resistant. Resistant.

A common thought: “Will it even hold?” – Our clear answer: Yes. And how. Our 3D-printed street furniture is made from a glass fibre-reinforced, weather-resistant material that is extremely durable, impact-resistant and UV-resistant. The highlight: the grooved surface with a natural play of colours makes scratches almost invisible – ideal for use in public spaces.

Despite their size, our furniture is light and easy to handle. The individual parts can be easily transported and assembled using a forklift truck – without any heavy lifting equipment. This creates impressive installations with real impact in no time at all.

Our materials are not only robust – they are also fully recyclable. In combination with stainless steel, the result is a product that is designed for long-term use – but also remains in the cycle at the end of its life cycle.

What is 3D printing
And why in large?

Pioneering work in street furniture: large-format 3D printing as a game changer

Large Scale 3D Printing stands for large-format 3D printing – an innovative technology in which furniture is created layer by layer directly from the printer. No mould making, no waste, no compromises. The design freedom is enormous: whether organic shapes or modular systems – what used to be difficult to realise or only possible with great effort is now possible flexibly and efficiently.

We print with
Green electricity

Our 3D-printed street furniture is produced in Altershausen, an eco-village in Lower Franconia – and entirely with green electricity. The combination of innovative technology and responsible use of energy is not a contradiction in terms for us, but an aspiration we live by. In this way, we ensure that not only the product but also its manufacture makes a positive contribution to sustainable urban development.

We are living
sustainability

We have been manufacturing high-quality stainless steel street furniture in the tranquil town of Altershausen for four decades – with precision, passion and responsibility. We focus on particularly resource-efficient production: we use neither oil nor gas, and water is also not required in our manufacturing process. For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a conviction we have always lived by and an integral part of our company philosophy.

Er stand for Design & Quality

About us:
We are street furniture experts

We are BENKERT BÄNKE – street furniture manufacturer for over four decades. Our expertise flows into every new product. For us, 3D printing is not an end in itself, but a tool with which we open up new possibilities – combined with proven quality, manufactured from powder-coated stainless steel.

We have been designing living spaces for over 40 years. We are not a tech start-up with a printer – we are street furniture specialists who use new technology sensibly and responsibly.

"If you want to shape the future, you have to be a pioneer on new paths - we simply print them
